Speech Language Pathologist in Arlington Heights, IL
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth in a dynamic therapeutic day school environment! This is a rewarding contract position serving a caseload of approximately 20 students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, working 37 hours per week within a collaborative and compassionate setting near Arlington Heights, IL.
Ideal candidates will be dedicated speech-language pathologists eager to foster positive student outcomes while working alongside educational specialists and support teams.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State of Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) for IL schools through ISBE
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language assessments, individual and group therapy, and IEP services for a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation according to school and state standards
- Advocate for student success, supporting language development, social communication, and academic progress
- Cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and engaging therapy space that motivates student participation
