Job Description
Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to a rewarding contract role serving students across a dynamic district near Greenfield, Massachusetts. You'll make a meaningful impact by providing essential OT services to approximately 30 students, supporting their growth and helping them reach their goals within the school environment.
This flexible contract position offers a choice between a full-time schedule of 32.5 hours per week or a 4-day workweek totaling 24 hours, allowing you to tailor your work-life balance while making a difference. As a district-wide occupational therapist, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans and interventions for students with varying needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience as a school-based OT or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, service documentation, and progress tracking
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple schools within the district as needed
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with educational goals
- Deliver direct therapy to students, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and accommodations
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation on student services and outcomes
