Production Coordinator
Job Description
Join our team as a Production Coordinator for a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This first-shift position operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with overtime available once trained. The role involves coordination of production schedules, communication with customers, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Responsibilities- Ensure the production schedule meets customer due dates.
- Assist in processing production orders.
- Perform quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production.
- Receive and inspect customer products for processing, including greeting customers at the service counter and receiving shipments.
- Verify purchase orders, part numbers, quantities, and perform visual inspections.
- Stage receiving shelves and maintain part identification and traceability.
- Ensure paperwork is complete and maintained according to internal procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow of the receiving area.
- Seek opportunities to learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Professional communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in shipping and receiving, packaging, material handling, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in data entry, inspection, and production coordination.
- Ability to type and willingness to learn production planning.

Work EnvironmentThe facility comprises six buildings, each dedicated to different parts of the metal finishing process. The work environment is organized, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and efficient workflow.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
