Paying $18.50/hour, this role is critical to preparing outbound freight, loading delivery trucks, and ensuring evening operations run with top-tier accuracy and safety.
Duration: 3-month contract (potential for permanent based on performance)
Schedule: Monday - Friday,03:00PM -11:30 PM
What You’ll Do
- Pick and verify orders accurately using pick tickets, transfer orders, and shipping documents to ensure correct product descriptions and quantities.
- Pack and stage shipments securely to prevent transit damage, apply customer labels, and organize completed orders in designated loading zones.
- Load outbound trucks safely using material handling equipment (Reach Trucks, Forklifts, Riding Pallet Jacks) while maintaining balanced weight distribution across trailers.
- Maintain quality and inventory standards by inspecting shipments for damage before departure, reporting discrepancies, assisting with cycle counts, and keeping work areas safe and clean.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, and electric/riding pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail to verify order documentation, catch discrepancies, and inspect freight prior to loadout.
- Ability to safely lift, pack, stage, and move materials throughout an 8-hour shift in an active warehouse environment.
- High reliability for second-shift hours, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment: You will work in an active distribution center and loading dock setting during the second shift. The role involves heavy equipment operation, manual packing/staging, and continuous movement to meet daily outbound shipping deadlines.
