Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing school-based physical therapy services in a supportive educational environment near Lowell, MA. This onsite assignment begins September 1, 2026, and continues through June 14, 2027, requiring your expertise just one day each week. If you’re passionate about helping students reach their full physical potential, your skills are needed to promote mobility, independence, and participation in school life.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license (required)
  • Eligible for any additional Massachusetts educational certifications, as necessary
  • Previous school-based or pediatric PT experience highly valued
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Comfortable with onsite work in a school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students referred for physical therapy and determine appropriate interventions
  • Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions to support students’ educational access
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into academic programming
  • Maintain timely, thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student supports
  • Adapt techniques and activities to meet diverse student abilities and learning environments
