Pay Rate: $ 22.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM-8:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and organized Manager of Services to oversee daily operations of a student-focused educational support center. This leadership role is responsible for managing staff, coordinating tutoring and guidance services, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring a positive experience for students, families, and community partners.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for education and youth development.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management
  • Oversee daily operations and administrative functions of the learning center
  • Coordinate scheduling for tutoring sessions, counseling services, and facility usage
  • Manage staff availability to ensure participant needs are met
  • Maintain an active presence to support day-to-day operations and service delivery
Leadership & Team Development
  • Hire, train, supervise, and coach tutors and support staff
  • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing development opportunities
  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and hour tracking
  • Address service concerns and provide escalation support when needed
Student & Family Engagement
  • Foster a welcoming, structured, and productive environment
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and visitors
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service and participant support
Data Tracking & Reporting
  • Track program participation, outcomes, and service utilization
  • Monitor student progress and tutoring effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting metrics
  • Provide regular updates and insights to leadership
Community Outreach & Program Support
  • Support enrollment initiatives and program growth efforts
  • Conduct outreach to schools and community organizations
  • Assist with special events, workshops, and open house activities
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Manage supplies, purchase orders, and inventory
  • Maintain facility organization and operational readiness
  • Provide front desk support when needed
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working in education, youth services, nonprofit organizations, or academic support programs
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Project management software such as Monday.com
  • Scheduling platforms and calendar management tools
  • Database management and reporting systems
  • Educational technology platforms preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, service-oriented environment
  • Passionate about supporting students and educational initiatives
Additional Requirements
  • Excellent attendance and reliability are required
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events
  • Must be able to commit to the role during the initial training and onboarding period
