Qualifications:

  • Current active Georgia SLP License or GaPSC Certificate (either is acceptable to start; both will be required eventually)
  • Accepting SLPs with CCC, CF, as well as SLAs certified through GaPSC
  • Experience in school settings, especially at the elementary level, is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to create individualized strategies and document student progress
  • Commitment to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to elementary students, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate speech/language interventions into the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student evaluations
  • Consistently monitor and document student progress while adjusting interventions as needed
  • Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding communication disorders
