Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital occupational therapy services to students in a supportive educational environment near North Hollywood, CA. This role is designed for a skilled OT ready to make an immediate impact throughout the school community, working with students from elementary through secondary levels.

You'll play a key part in helping students achieve their fullest potential by supporting their developmental, educational, and functional goals. The assignment is structured for up to 40 hours per week, offering a blend of 3.5 days at an elementary school (serving students with mild/moderate to extensive needs) and 1.5 days at a secondary site. The position begins as soon as possible and extends until the district fills the role, anticipated through the end of October.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license and credentials for school-based practice
  • Recent experience as a school OT, ideally with both elementary and secondary students
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Empathy, adaptability, and passion for helping children with varying needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ sensory, perceptual, and motor abilities in the educational setting
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to meet individual students’ IEP goals
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Deliver direct treatment, consultation, and support across assigned grade levels
  • Maintain timely and accurate progress notes and documentation
