Our client in Windsor, Connecticut is seeking a Business Analyst (Supply Chain) for a contract opportunity. This role will support key supply chain initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help drive operational efficiency across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and related functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience gathering business requirements, mapping processes, supporting system or operational enhancements, and working closely with stakeholders in a supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current supply chain business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, IT, and leadership teams on process enhancements and system-related initiatives
- Develop process maps, workflows, functional requirements, and related documentation
- Support projects tied to inventory management, demand planning, procurement, logistics, and order fulfillment
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and performance metric tracking
- Help facilitate testing, user acceptance activities, and implementation support
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders
- Ensure solutions align with business goals and operational needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and distribution
- Experience with business requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Excel and reporting/analysis tools
- Experience working with ERP systems is preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
