This full-time contract position involves working in a Center-Based Program, helping students from kindergarten through age 26 with moderate to severe disabilities. You’ll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and families while fostering independence and mobility for every student you serve.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Physical Therapy license (proof of licensure required upon application)
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting
- Expertise supporting children and young adults with diverse needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
- PTs only – PTA credentials are not being considered for this role
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Perform evaluations, create treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Document services and progress in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and collaborate on strategies
- Educate staff and caregivers on safe movement and positioning techniques
- Work onsite, ensuring hands-on support and engagement with students and staff each week
This opportunity spans the academic year from August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027, offering 35 hours per week during regular school hours—giving you evenings, weekends, and school holidays off.
