Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with a strong understanding of interpreting practices.
• Prior experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is highly desirable.

• Strong ethical standards, confidentiality, and a commitment to ensuring accessibility.
• National or state interpreter certification preferred, or willingness to obtain as required by assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school-related communications for students and staff.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers in both academic and extracurricular activities.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the diverse needs of students across various grade levels.
• Support staff meetings, conferences, and parent-teacher interactions as needed.
