Physical Therapist - School Setting in Angola, NY

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity is designed to cover a 2-month leave, serving a K-12 caseload and helping students reach their full potential through expert therapy services.

As a valued provider, you’ll work on-site from 7:30am to 3:15pm, collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals. You'll deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions aimed at promoting student mobility, access, and independence within the school setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy license
• Prior experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings
• Strong understanding of IEP documentation and implementation
• Comfortable working with students across K-12 grade levels and a range of physical abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs
• Provide direct therapy services in individual and group formats
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
• Educate staff and families on safe practices, adaptive techniques, and home programming
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other specialists to maximize student participation in school activities
