Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development in a primary school setting. This full-time role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about making a difference, and brings the chance to work collaboratively with educators and school specialists near the Corfu, NY area. You’ll work with a caseload of approximately 50 students from September 8th through June 25th, delivering vital speech-language services during school hours, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP-CCC credentials
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly at the primary/elementary level
  • Preferred background using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and related intervention techniques highly valued
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
  • Integrate AAC strategies into therapy for students requiring these supports
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to maximize student progress and inclusion
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress reports, and required paperwork
  • Engage with families and caregivers to support student goals and progress
  • Deliver services primarily within a single school building for continuity and relationship-building
