Pharmacy Technician | Centerville, Indiana

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for two Pharmacy Technicians to support a hospital setting in Indiana. The roles include handling both sterile and non-sterile compounding, restocking medication dispensing systems, managing pharmacy communications, medication delivery to patient care areas, and monitoring medication expiration.

Locations: Centerville, IN, with travel or relocation flexibility for non-Indiana licensed candidates willing to obtain an Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.

Schedule:

• Position 1: Night shift, 7 days on / 7 days off, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Position 2: Day/afternoon shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds accurately and safely
• Restock and maintain automated medication dispensing machines (e.g., Pyxis)
• Respond to phone inquiries directed to the pharmacy department
• Deliver medications to nursing units and other hospital floors
• Monitor and remove expired medications from inventory

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication preparation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
