Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for a 2nd-3rd grade caseload. This role focuses on delivering essential educational services to a small group—just 7 students—at a single school site. You’ll work within a collaborative school environment, making a difference every day, from December 1st through the end of the school year.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Valid California Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (required)
- Experience or interest in elementary special education, specifically with 2nd-3rd graders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, families, and support personnel
- Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction and effective behavior management plans
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to 2nd and 3rd-grade students in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
- Track student progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
