Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active South Carolina Teaching License required
- Degree certification in both Special Education and Early Childhood Education (for EC PCD Teacher, ages 3-4)
- SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement (for ID Mild/Moderate Self-contained K-3)
- Experience working in a K-3 or early childhood educational environment strongly preferred
- Passion for creating inclusive and nurturing classroom communities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth
- Enthusiasm for adapting curriculum and instruction to support diverse learning needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to students with special needs on-site at the primary school
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs, monitor progress, and document outcomes according to state and federal requirements
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and team members
- Use evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to promote student success
- Maintain a structured, supportive classroom while adapting to the unique needs of each learner
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach
