Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting elementary students with speech-language needs in a collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a positive impact, working full-time (36.5 hours per week) with a manageable caseload of approximately 45 students, all on a single campus near Sunnyvale, CA. You’ll contribute to students’ academic and social success through direct and indirect speech-language services, assessment, and IEP support.

What you’ll need:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
  • Experience in school settings or with elementary student populations preferred
  • Strong grasp of speech/language assessment, therapy, and intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with IEP systems and documentation (training provided on district’s platform)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy and support services to elementary students
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary team assessments
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions
  • Attend and contribute to annual IEP meetings, assisting with goal setting and compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Engage in regular consultation with teachers and families to facilitate student success
  • Balance both direct student services and necessary indirect work (testing, documentation, and collaboration)
  • Participate in training as needed to stay current on district processes
