Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as an onsite Special Education Teacher at an elementary school for the upcoming academic year. In this contract position, you’ll have the chance to work directly with a caseload of approximately 30 students in a dedicated resource room, helping to foster a positive, inclusive educational environment.

This full-time role offers stability and a predictable schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, running from September through mid-February with the possibility of extension for the remainder of the school year. Collaborate closely with students, families, and faculty to develop and deliver effective, individualized educational strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Washington State
  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Credential through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction)
  • Experience providing specialized support in a resource room or similar setting highly desirable
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Passionate commitment to supporting diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students receiving special education services in the resource room
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Engage families in students’ learning and progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations related to special education
