School Occupational Therapist (OT) – 61104 (Rockford, IL Area)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students in a school-based setting in the 61104 area for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized IEP goals related to occupational therapy services
• Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills needed for the classroom
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress reports
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment or accommodations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility)
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to pass all required background checks and school clearances
