Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or relevant credentials
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school settings
• Strong understanding of adaptive technology, Braille, and accessible educational materials
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams
• Organized, flexible, and committed to student-centered instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments, in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans
• Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust educational plans as needed
• Support the use of specialized materials, equipment, and technology that aid student learning
• Consult with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented
• Provide guidance to families on supporting learning and accessibility at home
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
