Special Education Teacher - Lancaster, SC

This rewarding position spans multiple school sites, serving elementary, middle, high school, and PreK students in a variety of classroom settings—from moderate special education environments to co-taught resource rooms and self-contained multi-categorical classrooms. If you hold an active SC SPED Teacher License with the appropriate Multi-categorical or required endorsements, your expertise is needed for an impactful contract role during the school year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License (Multi-cat or appropriate required certifications)
• Experience with moderate special education, co-taught resource rooms, or multi-categorical self-contained classrooms
• Comfortable working onsite across different grade levels
• EC certification or endorsement required
• Flexible with supporting elementary, middle, high school, and PreK age groups
• Passionate about nurturing growth and success for each student

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusivity and individualized learning objectives
• Deliver specialized instruction and adapt materials to meet diverse student needs
• Monitor and evaluate student progress; maintain thorough documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and comply with all relevant policies and procedures
• Foster a positive and safe classroom climate
• Engage in professional development as needed

This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (35-37.5 hours/week) running ASAP through late May 2027.
