Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in the efficient movement of goods by accurately processing shipping and receiving documentation, handling freight, and maintaining inventory integrity. This position involves operating warehouse power equipment, supporting account growth in collaboration with sales and management, and ensuring all products are properly stored, packaged, labeled, and shipped.
Responsibilities- Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Physically receive incoming freight, verify quantities and condition, and store items in designated locations.
- Package and label products according to established standards to prepare them for shipment.
- Ship outbound freight, ensuring correct items, quantities, and documentation are included.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory levels through careful handling and record-keeping.
- Operate warehouse power equipment, including forklifts and hydraulic jacks, to move, load, and unload materials as required.
- Support the development and growth of assigned accounts in coordination with sales and management by providing reliable warehouse services.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while performing all duties.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient operations.
- Demonstrated ability to process shipping and receiving documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in physically receiving, storing, packaging, labeling, and shipping freight in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate warehouse power equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks for material handling tasks.
- Strong focus on maintaining accurate inventory levels and integrity of stock records.
- Basic knowledge of inventory, picking, and packaging processes.
- Capability to work collaboratively with sales and management teams to support account needs.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines consistently.
- Equipment experience required for powered industrial truck operation (PITO), including safe and effective use of forklifts and related warehouse equipment.
- For non-PITO roles, ability to perform warehouse duties without operating power equipment.
- Comfort with manual material handling and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving warehouse processes and account requirements.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a warehouse setting that involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials. The position may require operating powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks, or performing non-equipment-based warehouse tasks depending on assignment. Work is performed around stored freight, packaging areas, and shipping/receiving docks, with a focus on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility. Standard warehouse attire is expected to support safety and comfort while performing daily duties.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Shepherdsville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
