Make an impact as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Rockford, IL area, supporting students across two campuses. With a full-time, school-based schedule (37.5 hours per week), you’ll play a vital role in helping students develop key skills alongside a collaborative educational team. Caseload assignment is tailored to your preference—early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school—ensuring your skills are matched to age groups you’re most passionate about.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience in school settings or pediatric environments preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with sensory integration and supporting school-aged children’s development
  • Strong documentation skills, including using goals and progress reporting

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct therapy services within general education, resource, and select self-contained special education classrooms
  • Serve students on-site at one campus per day, with no travel required between buildings during the school day
  • Develop and implement custom treatment plans based on students’ IEP goals and collaborate with educational staff and families
  • Document intervention outcomes and support students’ participation and success in classroom activities
  • Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, staff, and families to update on progress and adjust interventions as needed
