Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade. With an immediate need for a skilled SLP, this contract position starts as soon as possible and runs through May 2027. You’ll step into a collaborative educational setting, working onsite to make a lasting impact on young learners’ communication abilities.
Ideal candidates will be state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who have hands-on experience in school environments. This opening requires working directly with students on campus, providing tailored interventions and support alongside dedicated educators and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working as an SLP in a school-based setting
- Expertise in serving elementary-aged students, including those in kindergarten through 5th grade
- Ability to work onsite and engage in collaborative, in-person sessions
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy to elementary students with a range of speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Collaborate with teachers, support professionals, and families to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, plans, and sessions
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive learning atmosphere
