Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role where your expertise can support students’ growth and success. This position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, 30 hours each week (9AM-3PM), serving a diverse PreK-8th grade caseload for the 2026/2027 academic year, from August 26th through June 10th.
As a valued school psychologist, you’ll play a crucial part in enhancing students’ educational and emotional experiences through direct counseling, comprehensive assessments, and collaborative support.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification and credentials as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with PreK-8th grade students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP writing, educational/testing protocols, and counseling strategies
- Ability to conduct psycho-educational evaluations and implement appropriate interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual/group counseling to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
- Conduct psychological assessments to contribute to special education eligibility evaluations and progress monitoring
- Write detailed, compliant IEPs and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective support plans for student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state/federal education standards
