Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Background working with students with autism, especially within classroom settings
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Adaptable, patient, and supportive approach to learning differences
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for autism support preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction and behavioral support for students with autism, ensuring an inclusive classroom experience
• Collaborate with other teachers and support personnel to develop effective learning strategies and accommodations
• Monitor student progress, document data, and report on outcomes regularly
• Manage classroom routines and transitions in a positive and structured manner
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment
• Engage with families and caregivers to encourage ongoing student growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of individualized plans

Details:

• Two contract positions available: one for Elementary Autism Support, another for Jr/Sr High Autism Support
• Typical hours: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Enjoy a 45-minute lunch break each day
