Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification recognized in Nevada
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and modifications
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to adapting instructional strategies to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
• Deliver engaging instructional activities in self-contained or inclusive classrooms
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods and assistive technologies to support learning and independence
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
