Job Description
Step into a dynamic role supporting elementary students by providing essential speech-language services in a well-organized charter school setting. This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 11, 2026. You’ll serve a rewarding caseload of K-6th grade students, including both speech-only and students with speech as a secondary disability, with a notable portion being nonverbal or having ASD/higher needs. Expect a collaborative environment where a para will help facilitate sessions and milestone-driven progress monitoring is valued over administrative overload.
Key Qualifications:
- Current CCC-SLP credentials and a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- All required PA clearances up to date
- Experience with a variety of student needs, specifically nonverbal and ASD populations
- Familiarity with the EdPlan IEP system
- Ability to engage, adapt, and communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Consistency and reliability in professional commitments
- Prior virtual/teletherapy experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for approximately 13 students per day
- Develop and implement IEPs, utilizing EdPlan
- Work closely with a para to maximize students’ access and progress
- Conduct quarterly progress monitoring—no need to pull students early
- Participate actively in team meetings and communicate with parents and staff
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
