Seeking a dynamic professional to champion special education excellence as a Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach in an educational setting near Bellwood, IL. This contract opportunity is full-time, with immediate start and lasting through May 27, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement(s)
- A minimum of three years’ experience in special education
- Proven ability to facilitate IEP meetings and interpret special education law and policy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive environments and enhancing student success
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as an instructional leader and compliance facilitator across assigned schools
- Support and enhance special education instructional practices and staff development
- Organize and facilitate compliant and effective IEP meetings
- Collaborate with building administrators and instructional coaches to implement and improve inclusive programming
- Monitor and support adherence to federal and state special education guidelines
- Coach and mentor special education staff to drive improved learning outcomes
- Assist in expanding educational services and opportunities for students with disabilities within the district
