Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state license/certification as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience working in a school environment highly preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Comfort working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to ethical, student-centered practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret results for students referred for special education services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies to address learning or behavioral concerns
  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students individually and in groups
  • Guide the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend relevant meetings
  • Deliver crisis intervention and support when needed
  • Assist in the development of positive behavioral support plans
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate
