Make a real difference in K-12 students’ lives as a contract school psychologist in a vibrant scholastic setting near Baton Rouge, LA. Work across multiple school sites, supporting diverse learners and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role focuses primarily on discipline requests and educational assessments, offering you hands-on opportunities to impact children and families directly.

What We’re Seeking:

  • Valid NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
  • Deep understanding of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
  • Strong skills in interpreting assessment data and writing thorough evaluation reports
  • Experience supporting special education eligibility and participating in multidisciplinary processes
  • Ability to communicate results clearly and professionally with parents, educators, and school teams
  • Proven organizational skills to meet evaluation deadlines and maintain proper documentation
  • Experience working collaboratively with educational diagnosticians, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and school administrators
  • Bilingual ability is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational and behavioral assessments, submitting written reports within required timelines
  • Offer guidance and referral services to students and families, linking them to community resources
  • Maintain regular contact with school personnel to discuss and implement effective strategies for student support
  • Consult with parents, teachers, and school teams about assessment, interventions, and instructional strategies
  • Accurately maintain case records and all required documentation
  • Participate in in-service training and ongoing professional development
  • Clearly explain the assessment process and findings to stakeholders
  • Select, administer, and interpret appropriate assessment tools according to best practices and in compliance with timelines
