Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time role offers the chance to work across multiple campuses, including two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school—all within the same district near Mansfield, TX. You’ll have a consistent assignment each day, eliminating the need to travel between schools during work hours.
As a valued SLPA, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct services and supporting speech-language goals for assigned students, collaborating closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and school professionals. With a set schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll have the opportunity to form meaningful connections with students while helping them achieve their communication milestones.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas SLPA licensure required
- Previous experience in school settings as an SLPA strongly preferred
- Completion of required fingerprinting and drug screen before start date
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech-language therapy plans under SLP supervision
- Track and document student progress in accordance with educational goals
- Support generalization of communication skills within classroom and school activities
- Communicate regularly with SLPs, educators, and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
