Job Title: Material Handler

The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Material Handler will be responsible for operating within the shipping and material handling areas. The role involves working with large chemical drums, preparing pallets for shipment, and operating forklifts. This position requires flexibility as the individual may work in different areas and handle various tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Print labels and prepare pallets for shipment in the shipping department.
• Handle large chemical drums and ensure they are ready for shipment.
• Work until the trailer is loaded at night, with some potential for overtime.
• Utilize computers to print labels and track shipment information.
• Operate sit down and stand up forklifts to pick materials and stage finished products.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of forklift experience in a production or warehouse setting.
• 1 year of sit down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Work Environment

The facility is located in Pleasant Prairie and opened in 2013, featuring brand new equipment. Work involves transporting sealed and empty chemical drums without direct hands-on chemical handling. The role is primarily based on shipping docks, which are partially outside, and in a relatively quiet warehouse environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
