Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist providing essential support to K-12 students for the full school year. Based near Dekalb, IL, this full-time role consists of 37.5 hours per week, working alongside educators and other professionals to enhance student achievement and well-being through quality physical therapy services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist licensure for the state of Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
  • Strong skills in assessment, individualized treatment planning, and documentation
  • Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse student population, including all grade levels K-12
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ physical conditions and develop therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support IEP goals and optimize student participation in school activities
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with regulatory and district requirements
  • Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide training and resources to staff and families to facilitate student independence and safety
