A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a critical access hospital setting located in Taos, NM. This 13-week contract position offers a dynamic work environment serving a patient population of up to 25, ideal for pharmacists with a strong background in inpatient care.
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 19:00)
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication plans
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to dosage adjustments and patient monitoring
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work independently and manage various pharmacy operations efficiently
