Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students ages kindergarten through 15 years old as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This role plays a key part in fostering communication skills and academic achievement, working within a welcoming school environment located near Warren, MI.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP - CCC certification
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Comfort working with students ranging from kindergarten to middle/high school
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across K–15 age groups
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, adjusting techniques for diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation in accordance with school guidelines and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement
This is a full-time contract position for 37.5 hours per week, with the engagement running from September 8th through February 1st. There is a possibility for extension through the end of the school year, depending on program needs.
