Occupational Therapist School Setting in Spring Lake, NC
Job Description
Make an impact supporting students across the K-12 spectrum as a contract Occupational Therapist in a collaborative, enthusiastic school environment. This position offers variety and engagement, working with a close-knit team dedicated to helping children thrive at multiple school sites in the area. The assignment covers the 2026-2027 school year, from early November through late May, with a consistent, full-time schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for North Carolina
- OTR certification with experience in a K-12 or school-based OT setting
- Familiarity with IEP implementation, evaluations, progress monitoring, and goal-setting
- Ability to adapt to multiple school sites and engage with students from diverse backgrounds
- Collaborative mindset—strong communication and documentation skills are essential
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services for students with a range of developmental, physical, and sensory-motor needs
- Work closely with educators, administrators, and caregivers to support each student’s learning and participation
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and maintain timely documentation as required
- Provide recommendations for accommodations, adaptive equipment, and classroom modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
