Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a hands-on Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee operations in either Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to lead pharmacy practice, dispensing, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance in a working PIC role.
Ideal candidates will hold an active pharmacy license in AZ or NJ, with a strong preference for those licensed on the West Coast to help expand national coverage. Experience in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of state and federal regulations governing 503A pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide thorough patient counseling
- Supervise pharmacy staff and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP), USP <795>/<800>, and FDA 503A regulatory compliance
- Manage inventory control, including handling controlled substances and documentation
- Address patient inquiries promptly, maintaining exceptional customer service
- Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance for all states served
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in AZ or NJ, aligned with location of employment
- 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, preferably including mail-order or compounding environments
- Prior PIC or pharmacy management experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of PioneerRx software is preferred, though training is available
- West Coast pharmacy licensure (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) is highly preferred
- Must be local to Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ; relocation is not currently supported
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Possible weekend shifts as the pharmacy expands
