Production Technician
Duration: 8-Month Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:
- Shift 1: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- Shift 2: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
- Overtime available
Position Summary
A Production Technician supports the Assembly Department by performing repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks involving precision mechanical and electromechanical components. This role emphasizes product quality, cosmetic handling standards, and the ability to build functional products with minimal rework.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble precision mechanical and electromechanical components.
- Maintain a strong focus on product quality and workmanship.
- Operate and work with manufacturing equipment and tools including:
- Common hand tools
- Arbor presses
- High-energy magnetizers
- Ovens
- Vacuum systems
- Mechanical measurement devices
- Oscilloscopes
- Data collection and testing equipment
- Electrical and electronic hardware
- Maintain company-owned toolboxes.
- Keep work cells and common work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all applicable safety requirements, including use of required personal protective equipment.
- Resolve routine production issues and escalate more complex concerns when necessary.
- Assist with training and orienting lower-level employees as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma, Trade School diploma, or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred
- Previous experience with LAM or Monarch.
Compensation
$28.00/hr to $28.00/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
