Job Description
Make a real impact supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on providing services to PreK and Kindergarten students, offering you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in early intervention and language development. Assignments will be finalized by late August. The position is full-time (up to 40 hours/week), though there is flexibility for part-time and hybrid schedules with more onsite days than work-from-home. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite, as fully remote options are not available.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Michigan SLP license required (submission must include a screenshot of current licensure; verify details via the provided state link)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience, specifically with PreK and Kindergarten populations, is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary education teams
- Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based services
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver therapy services to assigned students
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain thorough documentation per school and legal standards
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to support classroom strategies and student success
