Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Brookfield, Wisconsin

Step into a pivotal school-based role supporting children’s communication development as a speech-language pathologist in an elementary setting near Brookfield, WI. This contract opportunity spans from late August through mid-June, offering a chance to impact young lives during a full academic year.

Your expertise will be valuable Monday through Friday, with a consistent schedule starting daily at 8:35 AM and wrapping up by 4:00 PM. The role features 24 hours per week, thoughtfully aligned with a .6 FTE, and offers scheduling flexibility to support a positive work-life balance. You’ll primarily serve a caseload of 12–15 students, working full days over three days per week at an elementary campus.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current CCC-SLP certification and eligibility for Wisconsin licensure
• Demonstrated experience in school-based speech-language pathology
• Background working with pediatric populations
• Proficiency supporting non-verbal students utilizing AAC devices
• Skill in collaborating with general education teachers to integrate both high-tech and low-tech strategies for individualized communication support

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention services for students with a range of speech and language needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals targeting functional communication
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to best support students’ participation and engagement
• Facilitate AAC use and training for both students and educators
• Document progress, maintain compliance, and participate in meetings with stakeholders as needed
