Job Description
Step into an engaging, full-time opportunity serving students as a certified School Psychologist. This contract role is based on-site and spans a 35-hour workweek, running Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 3:35pm. You’ll enjoy working with a manageable, small caseload (exact numbers are being finalized), giving you the time and resources to provide targeted, high-quality support to every child you serve.
Bring your expertise and passion for helping students thrive by conducting both initial and triennial evaluations, offering insights that guide educational planning and interventions. You will provide a limited amount of individual and group counseling, supporting student wellbeing and social-emotional growth. Your ability to facilitate Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings will be crucial, ensuring that all voices are heard and individualized plans are created to address student needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist (070) is required
- Experience with psychoeducational evaluations, including initial and triennial assessments
- Proficient in facilitating IEP and PPT meetings
- Proven ability to provide both individual and small group counseling to students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to inform IEP team decisions
- Lead and participate in PPT meetings
- Deliver targeted counseling services on an individual and group basis
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and support student success plans
- Maintain timely and accurate records
