Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by providing dedicated occupational therapy services to Pre-K and Early Childhood students in a supportive school environment. This contract position requires a compassionate OT who enjoys working hands-on with young learners and collaborating with educators and families to promote student success. Onsite presence is strongly preferred to foster strong relationships and deliver high-quality, individualized care.

Key strengths and experience ideal for this role:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license (Maryland)
  • Experience with Early Childhood and Pre-K populations
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy practices, documentation, and IEP processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to assess students’ needs and develop dynamic, engaging treatment plans
  • Comfortable working full-time, onsite in a multidisciplinary educational setting

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored occupational therapy services to help students develop motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate closely with classroom staff to integrate therapy strategies that support optimal student participation
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and caregivers, offering guidance and recommendations that empower student growth
  • Attend team meetings as needed and prepare progress reports to support students’ developmental milestones
  • Actively participate in Extended School Year (ESY) sessions as the assignment continues into July

This position offers a steady, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, so you can build meaningful relationships within the school community while supporting students' growth and development. The assignment starts ASAP and runs until July 30, 2027, with the opportunity to extend through ESY services in July.
