Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Missouri.
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred.
• Understanding of early childhood development and individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of students’ physical abilities and develop targeted intervention plans.
• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to early childhood students in accordance with their IEPs.
• Document progress, maintain timely and accurate therapy notes, and participate in team meetings.
• Provide recommendations for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and mobility support.
• Educate staff and families on strategies to encourage optimal movement and participation for every student.
• Stay current on best practices and follow district and state guidelines for school-based therapy.
