Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific credentials required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience with elementary-aged students preferred
- Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices and behavioral strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet individual student goals
- Assess and document student progress, collaborating closely with families and staff
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that addresses social, behavioral, and academic needs
- Provide support within general and special education settings, adapting methods and materials as needed
- Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations
