Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific credentials required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience with elementary-aged students preferred
• Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices and behavioral strategies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet individual student goals
• Assess and document student progress, collaborating closely with families and staff
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that addresses social, behavioral, and academic needs
• Provide support within general and special education settings, adapting methods and materials as needed
• Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations
