Special Education Teachers – Chicago & Surrounding Suburbs (2026–2027 School Year)
Bilingual & Monolingual Educators Welcome • Hourly Rates Based on Experience & Certifications
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Intervention — Deliver individualized and small‑group instruction aligned with student IEPs.
- IEP Development — Write goals, track progress, and participate in meetings with families and school teams.
- Collaboration — Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators.
- Classroom Management — Implement behavior plans and create supportive learning environments.
- Documentation — Maintain compliance through timely reporting and communication.
Qualifications
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 or relevant endorsement
- Experience in school‑based special education preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual educators (Spanish, Polish, Arabic, etc.) highly encouraged
Compensation
- Hourly rates vary based on experience, credentials, and endorsements
- Competitive pay for both bilingual and monolingual educators
- Full‑school‑year assignments available across multiple districts
