Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives with a contract opportunity supporting K-12 learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, providing dedicated speech therapy services in a close-knit network of schools conveniently situated near one another. Each setting offers a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, with a focus on those with general speech needs, mild autism spectrum, or cognitive speech concerns—no severe needs. You’ll be able to devote your full attention to one site per day, fostering continuity and strong rapport.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA CCC-SLP certification
- Valid Michigan SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- School-based experience providing services to students with mild to moderate speech/language needs, including general education and those on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech-language therapy to students in alignment with IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, sharing strategies and progress updates
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
