This contract opportunity focuses on the evaluation of a kindergarten student and is ideal for someone who is both passionate about early childhood support and skilled in school-based speech-language pathology. The position is based near Des Plaines, IL and offers the flexibility of teletherapy involvement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • State SLP licensure and relevant certifications for school-based practice
  • Active credentials supporting teletherapy and in-person evaluation (if needed)
  • Fluency in both Ukrainian and English—a must for this assignment
  • Demonstrated experience assessing and creating plans for kindergarten-age children
  • Previous experience in a school setting and with multidisciplinary teams preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a comprehensive speech-language evaluation for a kindergarten student
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed, adhering to best practices in virtual assessment
  • Collaborate with educators and caregivers to gather background information and share findings
  • Develop culturally and linguistically appropriate evaluation materials for Ukrainian/English learners
  • Document assessments, recommendations, and next steps clearly for educational team members
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and school district regulations
