Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join a supportive school-based team in the Jackson, Mississippi area.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced pediatric PT or a new graduate looking to build their career while helping students develop mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and functional independence.

What You'll Do

  • Provide physical therapy services to students in a school setting

  • Evaluate students' physical, motor, and functional abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Provide direct therapy and monitor student progress

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other therapists

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals

  • Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation

  • Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment, positioning, mobility, and classroom strategies when needed

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program

  • Current Mississippi Physical Therapist license OR eligibility to obtain one

  • Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) is required for Mississippi licensure.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required

  • New graduates and experienced PTs are encouraged to apply

Mississippi Licensing

Candidates must hold an active Mississippi PT license or qualify for Mississippi licensure.

Mississippi also participates in the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact. Out-of-state PTs who qualify for compact privileges may be able to practice in Mississippi through that pathway; the Mississippi Board requires completion of its jurisprudence exam before compact privilege approval.
