We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. The assembler will be responsible for assembling manufactured products and packing them according to specified instructions. This role requires adherence to quality management systems to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation and build to those specifications.
  • Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  • Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements.
  • Understanding and interpreting design data (Drawings, Bills Of Material, etc.).
  • Ability to make decisions regarding product acceptance per product documentation and company workmanship criteria.
  • Effective communication in small and large group environments.
  • Ability to use a computer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of previous bench assembly experience.
  • Experience with BAC5000 sealant is preferred.
  • Knowledge of raw materials (hardware/sealants), assembly processes, and quality control tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing documentation including work orders, blueprints, customer specification materials, and the bills of material (BOM) process.
  • Proficiency in using GSS systems, Microsoft Office Excel, and Project computer programs and software.

Work Environment

This position operates in a sub-assembly and machining plant dedicated to the aviation and space industry. The work environment is indoors with environmentally controlled conditions. Shifts are 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with training on 1st shift for approximately 6-8 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift. Candidates must be open to long-term transition to 2nd shift if needed in the future.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
